30. December - 3. January 1998 on the Geco-Searcher

Celebrating New Years eve with some nice food and a couple of flares was the start of this trip. After getting supplies both food and streamer sections we started heading for Trinidad. While the seimic crew were bringing the whole gear in (6* 6km), 3 Engineers started overhauling the engines.  It took 3 days to bring the gear in and you can see why (a bird and a retriever). 10 days it took to steam on one engine to Trinidad. Tuesday 20th of January at aprox 0800 we landed in Chaguarama just north of Port of Spain. The Chief Officer is redoing the labels for the cards at the gangplank, before we could explore the dock. It was a really nice yacht club 5 min from the dock and we had nice food and Undurraga wine from Chile every evening! The second last picture is taken just hours before we are sailing again. Saturday at 2200 we sailed to the prospect and had 10 days on the back deck until lift off, we had all lost some pounds at that stage. The very last picture is showing one of our crew, a Norwegian sailing with his brother and a friend and one of the two waitresses we got to know at Chaguarama yacht club.
